Kada je u februaru 2017. godine advokat Monika Lang iz Argentine kreirala skriveni nalog na Twitter-u pod imenom @EVAargentina20 i potom na istom objavila niz uvredljivih twitt-ova na račun jednog argentinskog biznismena, nazivajući ga kriminalcem i „stavljajući mu na teret“ teška krivična dela, nije ni slutila da će navedeni slučaj eskalirati na način da će biti obavezana na naknadu štete.

SAD su jedna od potpisnica Terzinske deklaracije, kojom se razmatraju mere na nacionalnom planu kako bi se ublažile posledice Hooikausta i očuvala sećanja istorije i nasleđa Holokausta, tokom koga su uništene tri četvrtine evropskog jevrejstva. SAD su u postupku za donošenje zakona koji se zove Justice for Uncompensated Survivors Today (JUST) Act of 2017. Navedeni zakon je nedavno usvojen od strane američkog Senata, a tek treba da prođe Kongres, nakon čega po proceduri ide na potpisivanje predsedniku SAD-a kada efektivno stupa na snagu i postaje zakon.
